Katrina Nurse

Non Executive Director

Katrina Nurse FCMA CGMA is a strong commercial finance director with over 20 years of board level experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.

Leading the financial and strategic agenda for a list of household retail names such as Selfridges, Asda, Pentland Brands (Speedo, Berghaus) and Topshop, Katrina brings a wealth of experience from public and privately owned commercial enterprises, that themselves have dealt with considerable change, necessitating the need to adapt and evolve their brand purpose and strategy.

A prominent female leader in her sector and profession, she’s invited regularly to contribute to the diversity agenda spending 7 years as a Trustee of Women In Retail. This body provided a solid network of support to the growing number of female leaders, practicing and aspiring, that were pushing into the historically male dominated leadership population.

Passionate about people and education, Katrina also contributes to furthering training and career opportunities in retail through the apprenticeship programme, serving as a voluntary NED of Fashion and Retail Awards, a subsidiary of the Fashion and Retail Academy in London, an educational establishment set up as a partnership between the government and retail businesses.

Coupled with her financial acumen Katrina is looking to share her experiences of the commercial sector, to bring an alternative perspective as UKBC develops the next stage of their strategic direction.
