Linda is the Chair of the UK Biocentre Board. She is also a Trustee Director of the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH), a research institute that is a centre of excellence in environmental science. She is also the Founding Chair and Non-Executive Director of UKCEH Enterprise Ltd., established to commercialise UKCEH’s products, services and intellectual property. Linda has a background spanning the life science and biotechnology domain with extensive experience in the private and public sector growing businesses from both a commercial and technical aspect.
Linda is the former Managing Director and Executive Director of Oxford University Innovation Ltd., the University of Oxford’s technology commercialisation company. She was also on the Board of BioAnalab, an analytical services company and a Board member of a joint venture formed between Oxford University and Emergent BioSolutions to exploit the world’s leading TB vaccine candidate.
Prior to Oxford she spent more than 20 years in industry with ICI, Zeneca and Monsanto involved in the technical, commercial, and regulatory management of developing biological product’s businesses across a wide range of industry sectors including food, agriculture and bioplastics.
Linda has an MBA from Oxford University specialising in Finance.
