Simon is an experienced executive and non-executive Director with 30 years in the finance profession. Pragmatic and inclusive director actively using his experience in his NED roles. Widely experienced commercial Finance Director with strengths in strategic planning and growth, complex contracts, governance and pensions with strong control background and transformational skills. As well as working at major corporations such as BT, Aviva and Securicor Simon has also worked across the Not for Profit sector at NCS, Crown Agents and Global Innovation Fund and dealt with most UK Government departments as well as US, Australian and Swedish Governments.
Experience in social enterprises, corporate ventures, startups, and major corporations across not just Finance but also Legal, HR, IT and Operations. Exceptional analytical and strategic skill set with excellent ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with history of delivering transformations in each type of organisation be it evolving from start-up or dealing with legacy issues such as pensions as well as organisational design, rapid growth, risk and governance.
Now retired Simon relaxes with travel, gardening and walking while raising his blood pressure watching Wales play rugby!
